On your mountain bike equipped with sports kit and full water bottle, you’re ready for an enthralling tour of the hinterland of Senigallia which is about 9 miles long! Start out your naturalistic tour from the Zavatti bridge, go along the right bank of the Misa river, rich in flora and fauna, and end it in Casine di Ostra.
Ostra (a Orange flag municipality) is located on a charming hill overlooking the Misa valley. This village is known for the “Sprevengoli Night” held during the Halloween period in late October: it has dramatic appeal and occasionally also re-enacts “horror” scenarios associated with certain popular traditions. If you happen to be in Ostra during these nights, you might happen to meet the “sprevengoli”- the spirits that disturb people’s sleep and whose presence is banished thanks to the festive rituals.
