Within the Sasso Simone and Simoncello regional park there are various tracks for mountain biking. From Pian dei Prati you can cross a forest of turkey oaks along vast grasslands where many birds of prey go hunting.
Ascending along mule tracks where you can see the signs of wild boars rooting about, you will reach Cerreta dei Sassi, an imposing forest of turkey oaks. A thick forest of maples, beech trees and ash trees and an undergrowth rich in fragrant blooms of snowdrops, irises and lilies will lead you to the point where you take the state road for a short stretch as far as Carpegna.
