A country, a region, a region is defined not only by its cultural treasures. The interplay of nature, culture and cuisine only makes the whole thing.
A journey dedicated to the culinary highlights of the Central Italian Marche should not only bring you closer to the local dishes. It should also contribute to how you can spoil your guests and of course yourself with Italian delicacies homemade.
1st day: Benvenuti nelle Marche
Arrival at the Agriturismo Vecchio Gelso, which was awarded in 2007 and 2012 as the best in Italy. After check-in and an aperitif, depending on the arrival, you will have the opportunity to relax and / or make a first exploration until it is called: Buon appetito with a delicious menu.
2nd day: Golden aspects
In the morning, visit Ascoli Piceno, the city of 100 towers that is almost reminiscent of a theatrical backdrop. In one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau cafes in Italy, the Meletti, on one of the ten most beautiful squares in Italy, you can take a specialty that you can only taste here, namely the Anisetta. Lunch in a charming little restaurant can be organized (extra).
During an olive oil tasting, in the afternoon you will learn the most important facts about olive oil and the olive itself.
The late afternoon is dedicated to cooking together and, of course, to food. The chef will give you guidance on traditional yet highly refined dishes at your cooking class, as in the days ahead. Of course you are also required. For the evening menu you will then enjoy the results yourself.
3rd day: Paradise of the pleasures - the Sibillini mountains
The ride takes you in the morning to the high mountains, the Sibillinen. In the morning, you will visit a cheese producer amidst the enchanting mountains. Here you can see how the sheep's cheese and the resulting ricotta are still made by hand.
On this farm you will find what no longer exists: an originality, where the cattle and sheep graze in front of the door, the cats nap in the sun under the old trees hold ... If you are longing for a paradise - have here You found it! After lunch, dine in a typical mountain restaurant. Here you will be introduced to the wine that accompanies the Marchigians "from birth to death" as an old proverb says, the Vino Cotto and also a digestif of a special kind! Return in the afternoon to the agriturismo. Today you can be pampered. Good Appetite!
4th day: The sea - part of our life
San Benedetto del Tronto is the largest fishing port on the Adriatic. In the morning you will visit with the guide the fish market. Then you have the opportunity to visit the largest market in the Marche. After you've determined for sure which terrific selection can be found here, it's time to take a meal by the sea. Overlooking the sandy beach, you will surely enjoy lunch in Cupra Marittima. Then one should not miss the original Cupra Marittima, the ancient place Cupra Alta! 21st century? Not even close! Just indulge in the magic of a world that seems perfectly fine and does not matter.
Then it's time to prepare the menu. The day you can comfortably relax with your self-prepared menu and a nice drop.
5th day: ice cream, wine and Mistrà
In the morning we drive to Offida, one of the small towns listed in the list of the most beautiful places in Italy. Here you will have a small course on the best Gelateria, how to make real Italian ice cream of the special class. Artificial fabrics or flavors? Not to think about it! Recommended for imitation at home! Then the tasting at a winery in a class is a must, to which a small lunch is taken. In the late afternoon, the preparation of the evening menu is on. Not to forget that the marchigian wine has to be prepared for the distillation, so that it becomes a high percentage Mistrà (only in the autumn months)! Let yourself be surprised. Have fun then while enjoying the menu and - just distilled Mistrà!
Day 6: Espresso and cappuccino - the pur Italian life
This morning you will devote yourself to our most popular product, espresso. What makes him so special, why is (almost) everyone a fan of our coffee? Get to know the secrets of the special roasting and the production with the different versions. Afterwards, after a lunch break until the cooking class, there is time for a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: Good bye
Leave the Marche today with hopefully many new experiences!
