BETWEEN THE SIBILLINI MOUNTAINS AND THE CONERO

 
OFFIDA - DAY 1 
In the early afternoon guided tour of Offida: you will discover the glimpses and the architectural jewels of the historic center of the village: from the liberty notes of the Corso del Serpente Aureo to the medieval and Renaissance atmospheres of Piazza del Popolo.
You should not miss a visit to Santa Maria della Rocca, a Romanesque-Gothic masterpiece that will leave you speechless for the beauty of its crypt and the elegance of the upper church. 
But Offida is also the home of the vine: and it will be the Ciù Ciù winery to host us in the splendid location of the sixteenth- century Palazzo Mercolini Tinelli for the tasting of the wines that made these lands famous: Rosso Piceno Superior, Passerina and Pecorino.
In the evening, arrival at the hotel in Montefortino, dinner and overnight stay.

TREKKING TO LAGO DI PILATO - DAY 2
After breakfast, meeting with our environmental hiking guide to start on a classic trekking trail among the most famous mountains of the Sibillini. You will leave from the small mountain village of Foce di Montemonaco and walk towards the legendary Lago di Pilato: welcomed in the spectacular natural amphitheater of a narrow glacial valley bordered by the highest peaks of the Sibillini - Mount Carrier, Pizzo del Diavolo (Peak of the Devil) and Cima del Redentore (Redeemer Peak) - you will reach the only lake of glacial origin in the Marche , a magical and mysterious place which was the destination of magicians and necromancers during the Middle Ages. The presence here, and nowhere else in the world, of an endemic crustacean, the Chirocefalo dei Marchesoni(a small red shrimp surviving the last glaciation) makes this environments unique.
Your guide will tell you of the many legends that still linger in these places, and explain the naturalistic miracle of the Chirocefalo, a real living fossil that swims belly upward in the waters of the lake. Free lunch during the excursion and “grand finale” with a zero kilometer super snack in an inn, entirely dedicated to the most typical flavors of the Sibillini Mountains.
Return to the hotel in Montefortino, dinner and overnight stay.

MONTEFORTINO AND THE SIBILLINI TRUFFLES - DAY 3
The truffle is the diamond of the Sibillini Mountains and this day will be entirely dedicated to this most precious tuber.
After breakfast you will walk accompanied by an environmental hiking guide through the beech and downy oak woods to see the real truffle quarrymen at work with their trusted hunting dogs.
Lunch with a menu based on black and white truffles.
In the afternoon we will visit the nearby village of Montefortino and admire its still intact medieval structure.
In the evening, arrival at the hotel in the Ancona area, dinner and overnight stay.

SIROLO AND THE SASSI NERI BEACH - DAY 4
After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave from the charming village of Sirolo for a super panoramic excursion, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub of the Conero promontory.
The path, which offers splendid views of the limestone cliff and the Adriatic Sea, will lead us up to the Sassi Neri (Black Stones) beach, one of the most beautiful and well-known on the Conero coast, to enjoy sun and sea baths.
